ADAMA invests in new AgTech role

ADAMA Australia continues to invest in its AgTech strategy by introducing a new dedicated role within the company.

Andrew Newall takes up the position of AgTech and innovation manager, based in Melbourne. He brings a wealth of experience in agronomy and AgTech that will help deliver strong support and great value to customers.

Andrew has over 18 years’ experience in agronomy roles with Ruralco, Elders and Agritech Rural based in Victoria. He also ran his own consulting business, NewAg Consulting for over eight years where he had a strong focus on delivering innovation and technology to his growers.

“The people and culture were my key reasons for wanting to join the team. There are so many great people within ADAMA Australia and you can see the passion and enjoyment they have working here.

“The diversity of my new role is fantastic. I not only focus on developments within the AgTech space, but also need to understand our products and current weed, pest and disease issues so that I have clear understanding of what technologies could help better manage these issues.  It means working closely alongside our sales team, market development managers and of course our customers to understand what they need.

“My main focus will be to look for opportunities to align AgTech with our crop protection products to deliver an overall package which adds greater value and user experience for our customers.”
