General Info

Badge 45 EC is a selective post-emergence herbicide that contains Bromoxynil octanoate, a nitrile and MCPA, a phenoxy for control of broad leaved weeds in wheat.
WHO CLASS II.

 

Badge 45 EC will not be recommended where the foolowing weeds are dominant: cleavers (Gallium Aparine) and spurrey (Spergula Arvensis). Badge 45 EC will not control perennial weeds such as creeping thistle and perrenial sow thistle.

Application Advice

Application Rates

For wheat and  barley to control broadleaf weeds apply 1.25-1.4L/Ha.

Water Volume

For ground application recommended volume is 150-200 L/Ha.

For aerial application recommended water volume is 30 L/Ha. The droplet density should be between 40-60 droplets/cm2 with a droplet size of between 350-400 Microns. Spraying should be discontinued if wind speed exceeds 15 km/h.

Preparation of Spray Mixture

Half fill the spray tank (knapsack) with water. Add the required amount of Badge 45 EC, then fill water to the required level and continue stirring and agitating until the mixture is thoroughly uniform. Ensure that the spray mixture is used the same day it was prepared.

Application Timing

Apply Badge 45 EC when the weeds are in the seedling stage and actively growth before the 4-true leaf stage. Best results are achieved when the application is during favorable conditions for both weeds and crops, namely when both the cereals and under sown grasses are beyond the four leaves stage and before the crop reaches the jointing stage.

Safety

Re-entry interval: 24 hours.

Badge 45 EC is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not contaminate streams, rivers or waterways with the chemical or used packs. Keep live stock and wildlife out of treated areas.
