“What has been important to me throughout all the years I have been working here is that the company does better every year, with growth in every parameter.”
Shaul Friedland has spent his entire career working at, learning from and growing with Adama, beginning in 1978, when he started his career in the company as Field Product Development Manager.
As Chief Commercial Officer, his overall goal is to enhance the growth of the company through an integrated, coordinated global approach, while ensuring tight alignment between the company's marketing and product strategy functions.
As part of his responsibilities, he oversees Adama’s commercial activities in Latin America, including the Brazilian market, as well as in North America and Asia-Pacific, working closely with each regional team to develop growth strategies and efficient processes. Additionally, Shaul is responsible for the Consumer and Professional Solutions (non-crop) activity in the group and oversees the global marketing and product strategy. Shaul is also a member of the group's Executive Committee, a senior management forum.
Prior to becoming CCO, Shaul had served in various positions in the group. After his early Research and Development role in the company, Shaul went on to serve as Head of the company’s Asia-Pacific region, and then Head of the Latin American region. He then served as Head of Global Sales and Marketing before becoming Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.
Shaul holds a BSc in Agriculture and an MSc in Plant Pathology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
On a more personal note: Shaul plays the piano. If he had an extra hour in the day, he would dedicate it to practicing more.
