ADAMA Australia has welcomed Dror Dagan to the key role of Senior Product Manager, responsible for fungicides and insecticides within the company’s Sydney based marketing team.

While new to ADAMA Australia, Mr Dagan is not new to ADAMA, having served as the company’s Fungicides Global Strategy Manager based at ADAMA global headquarters in Israel since 2014. There, Mr Dagan managed some of the ADAMA group’s leading products at a global level and worked with ADAMA businesses, including in Australia, to provide a coordinated approach to the fungicide and crop portfolio.

With more than 11 years in the crop protection industry, Mr Dagan has held different roles in commercial management, asset management and product development. He holds an MBA, majoring in Marketing and International Strategy as well as a Bachelor of Agricultural Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

“Dror has brought a wealth of skills, product management experience and insight to the role and it has been our great pleasure to welcome he and his family to Australia,” ADAMA general manager of marketing Adam Phelan said.

Mr Dagan, his wife Yael and their three children moved to Sydney from Israel in April. Mr Dagan said the opportunity for his family to experience living abroad was one of the drivers for his decision to relocate. He was also attracted to working in a role which allowed him to focus on a local market especially in a country such as Australia, he said.

“I believe that we are at a point in time that there will be a lot of opportunities in the coming years in Australia’s agriculture in general and in crop protection in particular as farmers look to invest in products and technologies in order to achieve higher yields,” Mr Dagan said.

“Having experience from other parts of the globe such as in Europe, Brazil, Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Asia, I think Australian farmers are more than ever open to utilise more advanced chemistry and technology, and I think that makes Australia a very interesting and attractive market to be involved with in the coming years.”
