ADAMA addresses PMRA active re-evaluations

We wanted to provide our valued customers with an update on the active ingredients Captan, Chlorothalonil and Iprodione. These products are important to ADAMA and we know they are important to the continued success of our customers and growers across Canada.

You may be aware that these active ingredients are currently undergoing re-evaluation by the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA). Our Global and Canadian Regulatory teams are working with all stakeholders on the re-evaluations and will continue to update you with developments.

ADAMA is committed to helping farmers protect their crop. We are working with industry partners to address scientific issues that Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has with each active. The comment period for Captan was recently extended with comments due July 29, 2016. The comment period for Iprodione has been extended making comments due July 15, 2016. The comment period for Chlorothalonil closes on June 10, 2016.

ADAMA stands behind these products and is working with PMRA and interested groups to review the evaluations. We will continue to comply with all regulatory requirements and work closely with the regulatory authorities.

We are committed to keeping our partners informed and will keep you up to date with developments moving forward. Thank you for your continued support.
