Application Advice

Directions for Use

Activation by rain or irrigation is necessary, therefore, apply Diurex 800 WP during rainy season or prior to irrigation, before weeds emergence. When spraying, avoid stops, slow-downs to ensure uniform application.

Application Rates and Timing

To kill germinating broad leaved weeds and grass weeds apply for different crops such rates:

Crop

Rates

Timing

Sugarcane

3-4kg/Ha, 250g/20L

First application at pre-emergence of cane

Pineapples

4kg/Ha, 300g/20L

Apply upon planting or harvesting as a blanket spray prior to weed emergence.

Coffee

2kg/Ha, 150g/20L

Apply upon planting or harvesting as a blanket spray prior to weed emergence.

Cotton

1.25-2.25kg/Ha, 95-170g/20L

At or after planting but prior to emergence of the crop and weeds

Citrus

4kg/Ha, 250g/20L

At the beginning of the rainy season in established orchads

Use a spray volume of 200-400 litres/Ha.

Post-emergence: When cotton is at least 30cm high, apply 2-2.5kg/ha as a directed spray to the area beneath cotton plants. Avoid spray contact or drift onto cotton plants as injury may result.

Band-spraying: At sowing, apply 1-1.5kg/ha at a band width of 30cm.

Preparation of Spray Mixture

Fill the tank to half its capacity. In a separate container, add a small amount of water to the required quantity of Diurex 800 WP and mix well until a thin paste is obtained with agitator running, pour this paste through the filter into the tank, adding water up to the required amount.
