Methomex 900 SP is a systemic carbamate insecticide for the control of thrips, aphids, whitefly and African bollworm on roses, French beans and carnations. Methomex 900 SP is an alternate insecticide to insect pest resistance to organophosphates and pyrethroids.

Application Advice
Application Rates
The application rate to control thrips, aphids, whiteflies and African bollworm is 400 – 500gm/Ha, 8-10gm per 20L of water.
Preparation of Spray Mixture
Fill the spray tank with half amount of water. Add the required amount of Methomex 900 SP, then fill the water to the required level and mix or agitate thoroughly to uniformity. Ensure that the spray mixture is used the same day. Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods.
Application Timing and Technique
Start spraying Methomex 900 SP when the first signs of insect pests are noticed in the crops before damage. Use adequate water to ensure complete coverage of the foliage and stems, increasing the volume as growth progresses, particularly in dense crops and under high pest infestation. Ensure that the sprayer is clean and calibrated correctly to give even application. Apply at the recommended water volumes of 1000L/Ha.
Safety
Pre-harvest interval for French beans: 14 days.
Re-entry period for roses and carnations: 24 hours.
Methomex 900 SP is toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms. It is harmfull to birds and animals. Keep livestock and wildlife out of treated areas. Do not contaminate ponds and waterways by direct application, cleaning of equipment, disposal of wastes and empty containers. Do not spray when bees are actively foraging. A band with of 1 meter should be observed.
