Sahin Ozkan
Head of Commercial Unit, India
Sahin Ozkan has had a 30-year career in agri-business leadership roles. Prior to joining ADAMA he was Commercial Manager of Rotam Life Sciences for Turkey and the Middle East, and before that he spent 18 years at BASF, where his last role was Head of Marketing for Turkey. He holds an Agricultural Engineering degree from Ege University, in Izmir Turkey, followed by an MBA from the Izmir University of Economics.
He joined ADAMA in 2017 as Head of Sales in Turkey and was promoted to be General Manager of Turkey in 2018. Under his leadership, ADAMA Turkey doubled its sales and significantly improved its profitability, in a challenging and volatile market. In January 2022, Sahin was appointed as the Country Head of ADAMA India.
Ashok Kumar Chowdhary
Head of Operations
Ashok Kumar Chowdhary has over 25 years of extensive experience with management and tactical business leadership in the Chemical and FMCG sector. Before joining ADAMA India as the Head of Operations in April 2023, he was the Site Head of ADAMA India’s Formulation Plant at Dahej, Gujarat. Ashok is a Chemical Engineer, he also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Indianapolis, USA. Ashok is also a Master in Counselling Psychology.
With vast experience in companies like Tata Chemicals, AkzoNoble, CBD Group, and Flint Group, he joined ADAMA in 2017. Under his leadership, the Formulation Plant achieved many Manufacturing Excellence awards and much more.
Ramkishan Thanugula
Director - Strategy and Portfolio Management
With over 29 years of experience in the AgChem industry, Ramkishan is an expert in Strategy and Portfolio Management. Before joining ADAMA, he worked with Bayer Crop Science as the Head of Marketing Operations for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. He has a proven track record for his strategic thinking and leadership skills.
Ramkishan completed his graduation from Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University in Andhra Pradesh. He also holds an MBA from Osmania University in Telangana.
Sharat Mannava
Chief Financial Officer
Sharat comes with over 25 Years of experience across multiple roles of finance function in Indian and multinational Companies. Before ADAMA, he was the CFO of Nuziveedu Seeds Limited where he played a key role in streamlining the business polices. He also worked with Bayer Crop Science as the Head of Accounting and Reporting in his vast career.
Sharat is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and is also certified in IFRS. Adding another feather to his hat, he has also been awarded the Best CFO in 2020 by ICAI.
Anitha Polimetla
Director – People
With over 20 years of experience, Anita is an expert in Human Resources Leadership. Before joining ADAMA, she worked for many global companies in the Pharmaceutical and Agriculture industries. She specializes in implementing best practices and skillfully building workforce capabilities.
Anitha has an MBA in Human Resources, an M.Sc. in Psychology, and an MA in Sociology from India’s top universities.
She has been a part of ADAMA for 12 years and played an instrumental role in establishing ADAMA India. She also headed the People function of ADAMA-APAC, where she focused on the re-organization of the cluster.
