ADAMA16 Warlock 19.2 EC Insecticide Product Overview & Infographic16

Warlock® 19.2 EC insecticide effectively controls Lepidoptera larvae, including those resistant to organophosphate, pyrethroids and insect growth regulators. Warlock® 19.2 EC can be used in an IPM programme as the specific pest is targeted and beneficial insects are not affected in any significant way.

It provides excellent control of phytosanitary pests, even in large pest pressure situations, killing targeted pests via contact and ingestion.

The quick breakdown of residues means Warlock® 19.2 EC can be used during flowering or later in the season (up to three weeks before harvest for most crops) without adding a residue to your crop at harvest.

Which crops can Warlock® 19.2 EC be used on?

  • Maize
  • Canola
  • Wheat
  • Barley
  • Citrus

This insecticide is also registered for use on sweetcorn, apples, pears, pomegranates, stone fruit, grapes and tomatoes. Comprehensive directions for use can be found on the Warlock® 19.2 EC label. Alternatively, contact your ADAMA field team for more information.

Mixing instructions

  1. Half-fill your spray tank with water.
  2. Mix Warlock® 19.2 EC with a little water.
  3. Add the Warlock® 19.2 EC mixture to your half-full tank, then top-up with water.
  4. Shake or agitate the spray tank continuously – don’t allow the mixture to settle.
  5. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight.

Integrated pest management (IPM)

Warlock® 19.2 EC is target specific for moths; most beneficial insects are not sensitive to it. While it is absorbed rapidly into the leaf, moving in a translaminar fashion to the other side of the leaf, it is broken down rapidly by UV light on the plant surface. This means that non-target insect exposure on the leaf surface is kept to a minimum.

Bees are sensitive to contact with Warlock® 19.2 EC. This can be avoided by spraying at night. The chance of contact is extremely small once the plant surface has dried off after spraying.

Is it safe?

Warlock® 19.2 EC insecticide is not carcinogenic and has a good safety profile for the user and environment, BUT always follow the safety precautions on the Warlock® 19.2 EC label.
