Important label update for all Dimethoate 400 products
November 2025 Update
The APVMA has issued a formal notification suspending all dimethoate products and labels, effective 7 November 2025. This suspension applies to uses on blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries and will remain in force for 12 months.
APVMA has provided new instructions for handling dimethoate products with suspended labels during this period:
· Dimethoate 400 products bearing suspended labels may still be possessed, supplied, and used in accordance with the instructions below.
· Dimethoate may be used according to the suspended label except where harvest withholding periods relate to blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries.
Updated Harvest Withholding Period
Replace any existing harvest withholding instructions for these crops with the following:
Blackberries, blueberries (including other Vaccinium berries such as bilberries), raspberries:
DO NOT HARVEST FOR 14 DAYS AFTER APPLICATION.
All previous harvest withholding instructions for these crops are void from the suspension date and replaced by the above.

September 2023 Update
The APVMA previously suspended the Post-Harvest Fruit Dipping use pattern on dimethoate labels. This suspension applies to all post-harvest dipping uses in tropical and sub-tropical fruit.
