FOLPAN 80 WDG rate range expanded for apple growers

The fungicide can now be applied at 1.875 kg/ha to 3.75 kg/ha, down from a previous low end of 3.0 kg/ha. The amended label took effect in July 2026.

The change follows a review that found Canada's historical rate range was narrower than those registered in other countries. ADAMA conducted Canadian trials to confirm that the lower rates used elsewhere maintained efficacy under local conditions, and the label was updated based on those results. The wider range gives growers more flexibility to match rate to conditions.

Under low scab pressure, the lower end of the range can be used as a maintenance cover spray while maintaining tree health. Lower rates may also suit younger trees and very high-density orchards, which carry less biomass than larger trees in low- to medium-density plantings. When disease pressure is high, growers can move to higher rates regardless of orchard type.
