ADAMA delivered first direct sales in Cambodia
Persistently continuing its efforts of "Reaching the Many" around the world, ADAMA successfully started its direct sales in Cambodia at the end 2021, expanding its footprint to this new emerging market in the Asia-Pacific region.
As a traditional farming country, Cambodia is the 9th largest agricultural market in the Asia-Pacific region. Cambodia exported 8 million tonnes of agricultural products in 2021, up 64 percent over the prior year*. With its abundant natural resources and favorable weather, as well as the government’s goal to enhance its agricultural productivity, Cambodia is embracing a great opportunity for fast growth in agriculture.
Rice production in the country has been increasing steadily alongside other important crops including corn, soybean, mung bean, cassava as well as fruits such as mango, pineapple, jackfruit and banana**. ADAMA will focus on delivering solutions for rice crops, vegetables and fruits.
ADAMA accessed the new market as part of its expansion plan in Southeast Asia, with the vision to bring differentiated and innovative solutions to farmers, with dedicated local sales, marketing and registration teams to support local business. Now having feet on the ground, ADAMA is able to understand the needs and pain points of local farmers and provide them with targeted solutions, drawing on its strong development capabilities and extensive expertise globally, as well as in China and other neighboring countries. ADAMA remains committed to its brand promise, striving to Listen, Learn and Deliver!
“Our goal is to deliver innovative solutions to the local farmers” Mr. Saravuth Tuot, the general manager of ADAMA Cambodia commented, “we will prove to the market and our customers that ADAMA is a reliable supplier, bringing high quality and differentiated solutions to support farmers to protect their yield and improve lives in the local community.”
