INVOLVE 50 WDG (tribenuron-methyl) is a strong option for this use pattern, with activity on a wide range of broadleaf weeds, including perennials like Dandelion and Canada thistle. Compatible in tank mixes with glyphosate and/or group 4 herbicides (ie. 2,4-D ester), INVOLVE 50 WDG brings another mode of action to the weed control fight – with excellent re-crop flexibility and an attractive price point.
Optimal control of perennial weeds is achieved when using a product that can get down and into the root's growing points, which requires mobility in the phloem. INVOVLE 50 WDG is a sulfonylurea, which are known to be phloem mobile1, and INVOLVE 50 WDG is effective in this regard. Uptake by the weeds is via the foliage, so ensuring some top growth (~6") of the weeds prior to application is another key for optimization.
