Mode of Action

Izavia works through a dual mode of action combining Chlorantraniliprole and Emamectin Benzoate.

• Chlorantraniliprole activates ryanodine receptors in insect muscles, causing uncontrolled calcium release. This leads to muscle paralysis, feeding cessation, and eventual death of the pest.
• Emamectin Benzoate binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in insect nerves, increasing chloride ion influx. This hyperpolarizes nerve cells, resulting in paralysis and death.
