ADAMA Canada Donates $10,000 To Help Daysland Arena Cool Down For The Upcoming Skating Season
The money will go towards a new ice plant at the Daysland & District Memorial Arena, which requires replacement after years of use. Despite the community fundraising to raise enough money, the costly system still required donations in order for skaters to enjoy the rink this winter season.
“This rink is a hub during the winter months where the community can gather to watch their loved ones play or skate,” said Mike Terway. “We need to replace the ice plant to keep the rink functioning, so we’re grateful for ADAMA’s contribution to our project.”
“We know Daysland is a prominent agriculture community and without the growers doing what they do, we know ADAMA wouldn’t be where it is today,” said Cheri Jeworski, Area Business Manager for ADAMA Canada. “That’s part of why we wanted to create All In On Your Stomping Grounds — we want to give back to the communities who have contributed to our success on a larger scale.”
