Stomping Grounds Opens Nominations
Winnipeg, MB – ADAMA Canada is now accepting project nominations for up to $10,000 in funding from its Stomping Grounds community investment initiative. Through the initiative, the company will be investing a total of $150,000 in projects that build community, boost well-being, and spark hometown pride.
From now until Jan. 31, 2026, individuals and organizations can apply to receive support for projects such as rinks and playgrounds, child/senior care centres, agricultural education and community programs that strengthen the fabric of rural communities across Canada.
“We often live and work in the same communities we support,” says Jodi Starodub, Marketing Lead at ADAMA Canada. “Without the tireless efforts of local volunteers and organizers, many of these projects wouldn’t be possible. It’s a privilege to help turn big dreams into reality through Stomping Grounds.”
Rosetown Kid Kare: A Dream Realized
One of the initiative's recent success stories is Rosetown Kid Kare in Rosetown, Saskatchewan, which received $7,500 support in 2024 and celebrated the grand opening of its new, expanded facility this September.
"Raising $2.5 million is no small feat. While our local families and businesses showed immense generosity, it also highlighted the limitations within our community. That's where support in rural communities from larger businesses like ADAMA becomes invaluable,” said Kailyn Krchov, when she received word her nomination for the project was approved in April 2024.
Krchov, a member of the Rosetown Kid Kare board, found out about Stomping Grounds after Gord Hounjet, Area Business Manager with ADAMA Canada, had told her employer at the time about the initiative.
“Watching the Rosetown Kid Kare project come to conclusion has been a highlight of my career with ADAMA,” says Hounjet. “My job takes me to Rosetown often and it’s been really neat to see this facility come to life and to know what a huge difference a project like this makes for the kids and parents in the community.”
Starodub says it’s stories like this that keep the ADAMA team passionate about Stomping Grounds.
“Every year, since starting Stomping Grounds, we are overwhelmed by the incredible projects that are nominated to our selection committee,” she says. “Rural communities are the heartbeat of our country and we are so incredibly proud to help where we can.”
Since launching in 2023, Stomping Grounds has contributed $240,000 to over 40 community projects. Visit adama.com to learn more about Stomping Grounds supported projects or nominate a project for 2026. Selected projects will be announced in February 2026.
