Local weed control programs on show at Northern Solution Sites
ADAMA’s work in the field is an important part of how we support agronomists, industry advisors and growers, providing practical opportunities to see how our products perform under local field conditions.
By investing in and establishing the sites, ADAMA brings together a broad range of field work in one location, making it easier for those attending to compare different treatments without having to undertake this breadth of work themselves.
The sites also provide an opportunity for open and practical conversations with the ADAMA team about what is being seen in the field, including weed control, crop safety and where different solutions may fit.
ADAMA Commercial Manager for Northern NSW and southern Queensland, Sam Tweedy, shares an update from "Tosari" on the Darling Downs, where planting is underway for one of two Northern Solution Sites planned for this season. The second site is being established at Narrabri in northern New South Wales.
This season’s sites will showcase a range of ADAMA herbicides, including the new Marathon® Group 27 pyrasulfotole herbicide. With an in-built crop safener, Marathon provides a safe tank-mix partner for a range of broadleaf weed control challenges.
The sites will also include chickpea weed control systems with a focus on Ultro® herbicide.
Canola grass control systems will demonstrate the benefits of Tenet® applied early post-emergent with Platinum® Xtra 360 and other canola system herbicides.
ADAMA’s unique Group 14 saflufenacil herbicide, Sierra®, will also be on display as part of a broader winter crop matrix investigating a range of products and combinations.
The main site visits will be held at Narrabri on the 18th and 19th of August 2026 and “Tosari” on the 26th and 27th of August 2026.
