What is Goltix 700 SC  herbicide?

This pesticide is ONLY approved for sale, distribution, and use under FIFRA Section 18, Emergency Exemptions. 

Goltix 700 SC is for use on sugar beets to control glyphosate-tolerant Palmer amaranth in Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado and Nebraska. It may only be used at or after planting as a pre-emergence treatment.

Q. What states have approval to use Goltix 700 SC on sugar beets?

Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado and Nebraska can use Goltix under the FIFRA Section 18, Emergeny Exemptions for control of glyphosate-tolerant Palmer amaranth.

Q. Which counties in each state can use Goltix 700 SC?

  • Colorado: Adams, Boulder, Larimer, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgewick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma.
  • Nebraska: Banner, Box Butte, Chase, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Keith, Kimball, Morrill, Perkins, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan, and Sioux.
  • Idaho: Canyon, Cassia, Elmore, Gooding, Jerome, Minidoka, Owyhee, and Payette. 
  • Oregon: Malheur County.
  • Wyoming: Big Horn, Fremont, Goshen, Laramie, Park, Platte, and Washakie.

Yes. Applicators need to apply for a permit. 

Q. Is there a timeframe when I can apply Goltix 700 SC?

Application of Goltix 700 SC can only be made during the following timeframes:

  • Idaho and Oregon: March 20, 2026 to June 15, 2026
  • Colorado: March 30, 2026 to June 15, 2026
  • Nebraska: April 1, 2026 to June 15, 2026
  • Wyoming: April 1, 2026 to June 15, 2026
