New Product Manager boosts ADAMA's Herbicide team
ADAMA Agricultural Solutions UK Ltd. has appointed Stephen Beal as its new product manager for herbicides and plant growth regulators.
The announcement, which sees Mr Beal join ADAMA from his previous role as UK head of sales and business development for a leading grass seed company, comes as a result of the company’s outgoing product manager, Dr Alison Hall, transferring to ADAMA’s European team where she will be responsible for overseeing the company’s regulatory affairs and stewardship.
“Alison’s professionalism, enthusiasm and energy will be sorely missed by ADAMA’s UK team,” explains Ali Bosher, interim General Manager, “but I am certain that Stephen will more than compensate for her departure. With almost 30 years’ experience in the agrochemical and seeds industry, he brings a huge depth of knowledge and experience to the UK team and is perfectly placed to ensure ADAMA’s expanding portfolio of specialist herbicides is appropriately represented within the sector.”
Mr Beal’s previous employment experience includes 29 years working for some of the leading global based crop protection and seed companies including Barenbrug UK, Syngenta, Arysta LifeScience, Monsanto and BASF. During this time he has worked at regional, national and international levels in sales, marketing and R&D roles developing and adding value to many sector-leading brands.
“I’m excited to join ADAMA’s marketing and technical team and to help in the development of its wide-ranging portfolio of crop protection products,” Mr Beal remarks. “With the first of three new ‘Alomax’ black-grass specific herbicides planned for launch later this year it’s an exciting time to join a company which has grown rapidly in recent years to become one of the world’s leading crop protection companies.”
In his role as Herbicides and PGR Product Manager, Mr Beal will be responsible for working with ADAMA’s regulatory, technical and marketing teams to develop and implement tactical product campaigns for the company’s range of herbicides and for communicating key trials results and technical product data to ADAMA’s key stakeholders.
