Effective Septoria strain management
In addition to controlling existing Septoria infections, spring fungicide programmes should also be designed to minimise the risk of subsequent resistance problems. Prochloraz, a demethylation inhibitor (DMI) fungicide of the imidazole class is a useful tank mix partner as it offers an alternative range of septoria strain cross-resistance
compared to other, more commonly used triazoles and prevents an over-reliance on one single group of azoles.
