Keeping sugar beet weed-free at all growth stages

With the sugar beet drilling window only a handful of weeks away, sugar beet growers are busily gearing up for the new cropping cycle. In addition to finalising variety choices and preparing cultivation and seeding equipment for the imminent drilling window, thoughts are also turning to weed control.

To achieve the best standards of weed control in fresh seedbeds, and to ensure the developing crop is unimpeded by competitive weeds including difficult to control ALS-resistant species, herbicide programmes should include a range of different active ingredients at the pre- and post-emergence spray timings.

ADAMA has developed a comprehensive range of sugar beet herbicides which can be used at various stages throughout the crop’s development: from pre-emergence, metamitron/quinmerac products such as GOLTIX and GOLTIX TITAN, to our propaquizafop, phenmedipham and ethofumesate products, FALCON and PowerTwin, our sugar beet herbicide range keeps crops weed-free at all growth stages.
